To measure their popularity, the Korean Business Research Institute has officially announced their newest brand reputation rankings for September, which now involves all K-pop idol groups who made their marks.
The list contained data collected from August 14 to September 14. It was also derived from numerous factors such as the participation of consumers, coverage within the media, and other aspects that can lead to buzz.
Here are the 10 most popular K-pop idol groups in September 2023!
1. NewJeans
NewJeans made it to the top 1 by receiving a brand reputation index of 6,941,545. They have also gained 90.86 percent positive reactions for their positivity-negativity analysis, highlighting their ongoing popularity across local and international areas.
2. BTS
BTS defended their place as No. 2 with a brand reputation index of 5,741,315.
3. IVE
On No. 3, IVE also maintained their position with a brand reputation index of 3,684,031.
4. SEVENTEEN
SEVENTEEN made it to fourth place after seeing a brand reputation index of 3,482,843.
5. BLACKPINK
On the top five, BLACKPINK secured the position with a brand reputation index of 2,864,095. The group has also gained attention for their "BORN PINK" world tour, which concluded on September 16, in Seoul, South Korea.
6. NCT
In sixth place, NCT claimed the spot with a brand reputation index of 2,602,995.
7. ZEROBASEONE
ZEROBASEONE made it to seventh place, where they reigned with a brand reputation index of 2,388,669. The boy group is also one of 2023's best rookie boy groups, as they were formed through Mnet's survival idol program "Boys Planet."
8. LE SSERAFIM
LE SSERAFIM arrived at No. 8 after garnering a brand reputation index of 2,354,054. The group has also received massive attention for their viral moments at their first world tour "FLAME RISES," as well as their video content and social media updates.
9. (G)I-DLE
With a brand reputation index of 2,329,849, (G)I-DLE managed to secure the list's No. 9 for September.
10. NMIXX
NMIXX made it on No. 10, completing the top 10 with a brand reputation index of 2,323,158.
