We all need at least one ride or die in our lives, whether they're our friends, partners, or family members. These are the people who stand by us when we need them most. Your ride or die won’t throw you under the bus to save their own skin; they’re going to stand in front of that bus to protect you.

They’re there for the good and bad times, and everything in between. They always have your back, and you always have their support and love.

Ride or die people tend to prove themselves over and over again. You never have to question their loyalty, you just know you’ll always have it. And you try to be just as loyal and trustworthy as they are.

Not everybody in your life has to be this way, and many people don’t have it in them to be like that. Sometimes, just one ride or die is enough. So, in astrology, who are the ride or die zodiac signs you'd be lucky to have as a loyal friend?

1. TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)

Taureans are stubborn, dependable, patient, and persistent. Once they commit to someone, they're always going to be there for them — no matter the consequences. Taurus are there for you whether you have a death in the family, or you got promoted at work.

If you're frustrated and overwhelmed, they do what they can to help you feel better. They don't leave when things get difficult, complicated, or even dangerous.

2. CANCER (June 21 - July 22)

Cancers are ride or die because they're always there for you to lean on. They'll defend you in public or comfort you at home — depending on what you need, not what's more comfortable for them. They're fiercely protective and will stay by your side, even when their loyalty costs them.

Once Cancers make a commitment, even if it's not legal or binding, they'll be there in good and bad times. They are faithful and rarely expect anything in return.

3. LEO (July 23 - August 22)

Leos are ride or die in the way they're loyal, helpful, and will do anything that's required to help out. They'll support you when you need it the most, defend you when you're wronged, and cheer you up when you feel upset.

If they're feeling down or upset, they push aside their feelings so they can be there for you. Leos don't run from problems, they face them head-on, even when they have nothing to do with them.

4. VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)

There's no one more reliable and trustworthy than Virgo, which makes them the kind of ride or die you need in your life. They're always there to help you in any way you need it.

They're smart too, so they always give the best advice and offer the most helpful suggestions when you are too upset to see things clearly. Virgos are watchful and can help you avoid dangerous situations even before they start.

5. CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)

Capricorns are the wisest ride or die in your life. They're always there when you need them, and they're also there when you had no idea you'd need them. They're loyal almost to a fault and are very strong.

A friendship with a Capricorn can outlast any challenge and still be the better for it. When Capricorn makes a commitment, even if it's just to come over and chill, they'll keep it even if they get a better offer.

6. PISCES (February 19 - March 20)

Pisces are kind, loyal, and are there for their loved ones. They seem to have a sixth sense when someone is in trouble and needs their help. It can be an emotionally tricky situation or something Pisces normally would try to avoid, but if it concerns a friend or a loved one, they will suck it up and be there supporting and protecting.

Pisces will take care of you when you're sick, apologize when they make a mistake, and if you do something embarrassing in public, they take responsibility for it.
