Mika married Erja Hakkinen in 1998 and divorced after a decade of togetherness in 2008. The former couple has two children together, Aina and Hugo Ronan Hakkinen.

Their wedding was celebrated twice; on May 30, 1998, the couple married in Monaco, but the actual wedding party was held on June 13 in Porvoo.

Erja is a member of the Cancer Foundation's party committee, and the fashion show was put on to raise funds for Finnish cancer research.

She is used to walking on catwalks as a TV presenter, model, and businesswoman, and her daughter is quickly pursuing in her mother's footsteps.

Erja lives in Monaco with her children and is happily living her life as a single mother. Mika has married and settled with his new wife, Marketa Remesova.

The F1 World Champion met his current wife, Marketa Remesova, in 2007 at a golf tournament in Cologne. Mika Hakkinen married Marketa Remesova in December 2016. 

Marketa is a former dancer and fashion designer. After marrying Mike, she started her label Nordic Angels, showcased at Monte Carlo Fashion Week.

She helps women with fertility issues these days through her Love Fertility Coaching company.

Mika has three children with Marketa, Lynn (daughter), Ella (daughter), and Daniel (son). The couple struggled to have children in their early days.
