Andrea Pyros is the author of the middle-grade novels My Year of Epic Rock (Sourcebooks) and Pink Hair and Other Terrible Ideas (Capstone). She is an experienced journalist and editor, focusing on health, wellness, beauty, relationships, and pop culture. Her byline has appeared in InStyle, Real Simple, Byrdie, Gannett, Bustle, Romper, and DailyOM Journal, and she’s held senior-level editorial roles at such major media companies as Ziff Davis, CondeNast, G&J USA, and Bauer Publications. She’s also a copywriter for clients such as Hachette, Omega Institute, and YPO.

Andrea has been interested in providing compelling content to an engaged readership since she joined three of her friends in launching one of the first websites to speak to 20-something women: Girls On Film. The site received attention from Entertainment Weekly, USA Today, The New York Times and others, and led to the publication of the Girls On Film book, published by HarperCollins.

Andrea earned her undergraduate degree at Vassar College and her master’s from NYU’s Interactive Telecommunications Program, where she specialized in emerging media. She lives in Rhinebeck, New York, with her husband, their two children, and their dog, Rye.
