Personal Statement

I love the game, I want the challenge and look forward to my future in higher education.  Along the way I have surpassed perceived limitations, not good enough to make 7th grade only to make the 8th grade team and be the leading scorer after getting off the bench the 3rd game of that season.  I was the 3rd Freshman to get Varsity time, but come Sophomore year I was playing on Varsity from day one, not the other 2 !  Last year I was the team Captain and we had 5 seniors.  

While it’s true I was the 3rd leading scorer on our high school team last year, it is my mindset that every shot is your teams shot and it should be a good shot.  I want to win! I want to help my teammates!  I lead my team in rebounds, assists, 3pt FG %.  

I’m not flashy, I’m accountable...it’s not about me, it is about US!  I will help in any way possible, make the 3, make that pass, get that rebound or just cheer loudly. 

Cream always rises to the top, academically: I am the cream.  Athletically: let’s just say, I’m a work in progress.  And just like cream doesn’t get separated until the process starts and the work has begun.
