Baftas ceremony begins with 'awkward' kiss cam, where celebs are encouraged to share an embrace
Sophia Dalton Spoiler: They didn't. Fassbender even decided not to plant one on his actual girlfriend, Alicia Vikander, because he is a massive spoilsport.
It's Valentine's Day! We're not on a romantic date in a reasonably-priced Italian chain, we're watching the Baftas! Don't be boring!
Maggie Smith took one for the team, because she is a dreamboat, and accepted a snog from Leonardo DiCaprio. You'll see that delicious image on TV later.
This is all at the behest of apparent voyeur Stephen Fry.
The whole thing was apparently very awkward, according to viewers.
Other snoggers include Stanley Tucci and Cuba Gooding Junior; Rebel Wilson and Eddie Izzard, and Julianne Moore and Bryan Cranston.
Some viewers are very excited to see the kiss cam, whereas others think it was a bit cringe.

Why put a kiss cam on Alicia and Michael when you know how important it is to them to keep their relationship private?! #BAFTAs
