Neymar's former agent Wagner Ribeiro was the latest to testify in the Neymar trial over his transfer from Brazilian club Santos to Barcelona back in 2013.

Ribeiro, who claimed that he wanted his client to join Real Madrid, revealed that Messi played an important role in Neymar's decision to move to Catalonia and join the Blaugrana.

"Once Real Madrid were out of the running, Neymar had a conversation with Messi that was fundamental for him to sign for Barcelona," Ribeiro told the court.

"I wanted him to go to Real Madrid, who sent him a contract to sign.

"That's when that conversation with Messi happened and he decided to join Barcelona."

Roberto Moreno's remarks on Neymar

Another person who testified on Wednesday was DIS executive director Roberto Moreno.

DIS is the investment group which claims that was supposedly entitled to 40 percent of Neymar's transfer despite allegedly receiving a smaller compensation.

"There was a bribe in order for [Neymar] not to accept some of the offers he had received from other clubs," claimed Moreno.

Neymar had stated on Tuesday that his dream was to go to Barcelona and he was guided by his heart, but Moreno has his doubts.

"It was a financial matter," Moreno added.

"He had trained with Real Madrid. If he had so much love for Barcelona, why is he now at Paris Saint-Germain?"
