Reality and daytime television producer

Bonnie Bogard, reality and daytime television producer, died Jan. 27 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles after a lengthy illness. She was 47.

Bogard had spent the last several years at Bunim-Murray Prods., where she was vice president of creative affairs. Most recently co-executive producer of the syndicated reality daytime drama “Starting Over” and consulting producer on “The Simple Life,” she also supervised the long-running series “Road Rules” and helped create and cast “The Love Cruise” and the reality feature “The Real Cancun.”

A native of Brooklyn, Bogard was hired by Bunim-Murray co-founder Mary-Ellis Bunim as a production assistant on the soap “Search for Tomorrow.” Bogard eventually became a producer on that show as well as on “As the World Turns,” and won Emmys for both of them.

Moving from New York to Los Angeles, she became co-executive producer for “Superior Court” and “People’s Court.” She then joined Miller/Boyet Productions, where she produced several pilots and for five seasons produced the series “Full House.”

She is survived by her daughter, mother and brother.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, Feb. 1 in New York, and a memorial service is planned in Los Angeles.
