Boris Kodjoe (Boris Frederic Cecil Tay-Natey Ofuatey-Kodjoe) is an Austrian-born actor born March 8, 1973 in Vienna, Austria. He is of German and Ghanaian descent known for his roles as Kelby in the 2002 film “Brown Sugar”. He also co-starred in BET’s Real Husbands of Hollywood and CBS medical drama Code Black.

His parents Ursula Kodjoe (mother) and Eric Kodjoe (father). ‘On our first date, it wasn’t as if we had never met,’ explains Kodjoe. “We had been working together on Soul Food for two years. “I dated her the first time I met her in front of the cameras.
They first dated the long distance
“Right after we met, her character was written off the show,” Parker says. “And so I was like, okay, so we’re going to do this, but we’re going to do this over long distances. You know, actors fall in love on set all the time and so the real test was going to be, like, do we still feel the same about not being together every day. Clearly, they passed!
It was Boris’s idea to move in together
‘I knew I wanted to buy a house, so I started looking for a house in California, and we had like a week off from the show, so I came home to look at properties and Boris said can find a bigger house if we look together. I was like ‘Hey!’ That kind of message let me know he was here to win too,” Parker shares.
Boris is a great listener
“You know, my wife, when she’s in a bad mood or angry about something, you have to let her go through the process,” he says. “She likes to let off steam. She just wants to leave and she doesn’t want me to solve the problem. She just wants me to listen. I have to learn this because usually I jump in and try to save her, figure out her stuff and beat someone up, but she really wanted me to listen. I could rub her shoulder as she vacates or just watch her. And, for me, it gives me space. For example, I have to go for a run on the beach or play an hour of tennis.

“Now if I needed to cheer him up, I’m definitely the comedian in the family,” Parker says. “I will totally resort to all sorts of comedic antics to cheer him up. I’m doing a whole one-woman show. I’m like the Carol Burnett of the family. ‘

“I always say the minute you find your husband, you make him your boyfriend,” Parker says of keeping the vibes light and fun at home. Although they go over tasks and responsibilities together, they haven’t stopped the sexy chats or romantic dinners at home.
