Jarrett Johnson, who excelled in college sports, was found dead in a condo owned by Floyd Mayweather Jr, with whom he had a good relationship. Although nothing has been confirmed, there is talk of a possible suicide.

The death of Johnson, who was also a relative of Money Mayweather's girlfriend, Jamie Lynn, and who was an athlete who stood out in his college days, was announced today.

What is known about Jarrett Johnson's death?

Johnson's apparent suicide occurred earlier in the week, reported TMZ Sports, after he was discovered by a friend at the Las Vegas condo owned by the former boxer.

Johnson, 24, was discovered by his friend, who went to the apartment on Aug. 22 at about 4:40 p.m., and after finding Jarrett called 911 to get help, "but when police responded, Johnson was dead. Sources say Jarrett died by hanging," the release reads.

It is unknown if Jarrett Johnson was living at the time of the incident in the apartment owned by what was considered the world's greatest boxer.

Johnson was a standout collegiate athlete

In his career at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri, Jarrett Johnson excelled as a soccer player; he served as an all-conference quarterback in high school and the Southeast Missouri All-Region Athlete of the Year. In college he played a variety of positions.

In some photographs he appears with Floyd Mayweather, with whom it is said he had a good relationship, so the former pugilist is very affected with the death of Jarrett, a young man who joins another of the tragedies in his family, as his brother Justice was killed when he was only 18 years old, in 2019.
