For quarterback Brock Purdy of the San Francisco 49ers, 2022 was a significant year. The NFL rookie won the starting quarterback position for the 49ers and got engaged to Jenna Brandt.

When the 49ers’ leading quarterbacks, Trey Lance and Jimmy Garoppolo, suffered injuries, Purdy, who had been called “Mr. Irrelevant” when he was chosen as the final selection in the 2022 NFL season, had his time to shine. 

He became an improbable football phenomenon after helping his side to multiple victories and finishing the regular season undefeated as a starter. 

In his first career start, he even upset Tampa Bay Buccaneers superstar Tom Brady. Brandt was there to support Purdy and was even photographed kissing him after his impressive victory.

Although Purdy has not disclosed much about his connection with Brandt, they signed up as student-athletes at Iowa State University in 2018. 

While Brandt played setter for the volleyball team, Purdy spent most of his time on the football pitch. 

Even though Brandt finally went to the University of Northern Iowa in 2021, it is evident that they maintained in touch and eventually fell in love.

Who is Jenna Brandt?

Brandt arrived on October 26, 1999, and spent her childhood in Sumner, Iowa, where she also has three siblings: Kaylyn, Isaiah, and Morgan. Her parents are Kevin and Amy Brandt. 

She went to Sumner-Fredericksburg High School, where she was a four-year volleyball team member and twice served as team captain. 

Brandt participated in club volleyball, track and field, and other sports. She began her senior year by committing to play volleyball for Iowa State University. She graduated from high school in 2018.

Brandt hails from a close-knit family, members of which are frequently visible on her Instagram feed. She claims one of her favorite pastimes is spending time with her family. 

She even mentioned that her siblings significantly influenced her decision to attend Iowa State.

After completing high school, Brandt enrolled at Iowa State in Ames, Iowa, and claimed kinesiology as her major. 

Purdy also committed to Iowa State in the same year, making both first-year students simultaneously. 

The couple hasn’t specifically mentioned how they met, but they likely first ran into each other on campus.

Despite sharing some social media posts in the summer of 2022, Brandt and Purdy made their Instagram relationship official the following November. 

Brandt published a series of images on her Instagram account showing Purdy and her family enjoying time on a farm.

“My roots and my boy,” Brandt captioned the slideshow. Purdy responded in the comment area, calling Brandt “my girl.”

Purdy has already introduced Shawn, Carrie Purdy, and his siblings and parents to Brandt. 

Brandt’s sister Whitney first made it seem like he was hanging out with Purdy’s family in July 2022 when she shared pictures of the bunch attending a Morgan Wallen concert.

Brandt has since shared multiple pictures of himself hanging out with Purdy’s family at 49ers games and celebrating the New Year together.

Jenna Brandt supported boyfriend Purdy as San Francisco defeated Tampa Bay, 35-7, at Levi’s Stadium. 

Jenna Brandt played volleyball for Iowa State and the University of Northern Iowa.

In November 2022, Brandt appeared to formally announce her relationship with Purdy Instagram, who is 22 years old, by sharing several images online. 

Before Brandt’s transfer to Northern Iowa in 2018, Purdy and Brandt were classmates at Iowa State.
