No injuries were reported.

ATLANTA — Fire crews rushed to Chops and Lobster Bar Friday night after the area filled with smoke.

Atlanta Fire Rescue responded to 70 W Paces Ferry Rd NW in the Buckhead neighborhood before 10:30 p.m.

The restaurant was evacuated and firefighters did not find anyone hurt, AFRD said.

Firefighters said the flames had been contained to the attic of the structure. Several crews were still assessing the damage around midnight Saturday.

AFRD did not offer any other information.

Saturday morning, Atlanta Police provided an update that said firefighters and Chops staff "successfully evacuated all occupants from the building without any confirmed injuries."

"With more than 100 bystanders near the scene, Atlanta Police responded for traffic control and shut down Paces Ferry Place to Peachtree Road," APD said. "All hands working contained the fire in the structure's attic, and at approximately 11:20 pm, responders had knocked down all visible flames."

APD said the scene was then cleared by 1 a.m. before they received a second call about fire coming from the roof around 2:30 a.m.

"Upon arrival, the first units confirmed hot embers burning in the chimney area and successfully contained and extinguished the small fire," the department said.

Crews stayed on to watch the structure until 7:45 a.m. Saturday morning, at which point "firefighters concluded the fire watch and cleared the scene"

"The cause of the fire remains under investigation," APD said.
