It was love at first sight when I came across the Elie Tahari The Jane Dress. It has all my favorite components of a good fall and winter dress, and it can easily be dressed up when paired with the right shoes and layerables. The 100-percent cotton dress comes in black in sizes XS through XL, but it’s recommended that you size down, as this dress runs large. There’s a button front closure for easy on-and-off, a mandarin collar, two side pockets, long blouson sleeves with elastic at the cuff, and a belted waist. It has an A-line shape and falls slightly above the knee.

I am a die-hard Sex And The City fan, and while I was watching this show in awe way before it was probably appropriate for my age, I am proud to say that much of my career and fashion sense can be credited to Carrie’s style.
