Canelo Alvarez out of the NFL in Mexico? Grupo Firme will perform at halftime of the MNF game
Sophia Dalton Mexico will host Monday Night Football on November 21 with the confrontation between the San Francisco 49ers and the Arizona Cardinals. In addition to the sporting spectacle that this event will offer, a musical show will be performed by Grupo Firme, who became world famous for being the band that ran the Quinceañera party of the daughter of Mexican boxer Saul "Canelo" Alvarez.

It was the group itself, led by Eduin Caz, who informed about their performance at halftime of the game to be held next Monday at the Azteca Stadium.
NFL returns to Mexico after a 3-year absence
Mexican NFL fans will once again experience the emotions of Monday Night after three years in which the COVID-19 pandemic prevented the event from being held in Mexico.
And without a doubt, the eyes will be on the offensive tactics of Kyle Shanahan and Kliff Kingsbury and the performance of quarterbacks Jimmy Garoppolo and Kyler Murray.
According to the NFL Mexico website, this will be the fourth regular season game to be held by the league on Mexican soil, of five that have been scheduled, as in 2018 the game already scheduled was suspended due to the poor condition of the Azteca's turf.
NFL games in Mexico
The first official NFL game in Mexico City took place in 2005 and, curiously, it was played by the two teams that will face each other on November 21. On that occasion, the score favored Arizona by 31-14 over San Francisco.
It took more than 10 years for Mexicans to experience the thrill of a professional American game in their land again, it was in the 2016 season, when the Oakland Raiders defeated the Houston Texans 27-20.
A year later, however, the Raiders themselves were beaten 33-8 by the New England Patriots, a game in which Tom Brady looked like a star.
Then followed the cancellation of 2018, but a year later, the NFL scheduled yet another game at the Azteca, this time starring the Kansas City Chiefs, who defeated the Los Angeles Chargers 24-17 in an even, scrappy, back-and-forth duel.
And after two years of pandemic, Mexicans will once again be thrilled with Monday Night Football.
