Caterina Scorsone parents Suzanne Rozell and Antonio Bruno Scorsone gave birth to her in Toronto, Canada.

Her father Antonio Bruno Scorsone is a social worker and her mother Suzane Rozell Scorsone is a social anthropologist.

Antonio comes of Italian descent and her mother Suzane has a mixed ancestry of Swedish, English, and Scottish. 

The couple has four daughters and a son; and four granddaughters.

Caterina Scorsone daughters Eliza Giles, Paloma Michaela and Arwen Lucinda Giles call her estranged husband Rob Giles their father. 

The pair welcomed their first daughter Eliza Giles on July 6, 2012. She is already 10 years old and has already made her debut with the 2015 short film Star. 

Caterina's second daughter Paloma Michaela Giles also known as Pippa was born on November 8, 2016. Pippa was born with Down syndrome which led Caterina to be very vocal about the syndrome. 

According to People, the actress was very scared after her daughter was diagnosed with Down syndrome. However, her fear shifted gradually as she cradled her little one into her arms after the birth. 

Her third daughter Arwen Lucinda Giles also known as Lucky was born in December 2019. She is the youngest of three siblings. Her youngest bundle of joy Lucky is the last daughter of her estranged husband Rob Giles. 

The Private Practice star and musician tied the knot in June 2009. The pair stayed married for eleven years before separating in May 2020. They filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences, according to TV Showcase.
