OFFICIAL RULES AND REGULATIONS

1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Make CNN.Com Your Home Page Sweepstakes (the "Sweepstakes") is open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia (excluding Puerto Rico), at least 18 years of age or older at time of entry and with Internet access of November 8, 2004, and, to residents of Canada (excluding Quebec), who have reached the age of majority in their province of residence at time of entry and with Internet access as of November 8, 2004. Employees and their immediate families (spouses, siblings, children, household members and the spouses and children of the foregoing) of Cable News Network LP, LLLP (the "Sponsor"), its parent, subsidiaries, divisions, trustees, franchisees, participating vendors, distributors, advertising or promotion agencies and affiliated agencies (the "Sweepstakes Entities") are not eligible to enter the Sweepstakes. By entering the Sweepstakes, participants agree to abide by all terms of the Official Rules and Regulations applicable thereto. Subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations. Some restrictions apply. Void in Quebec, Puerto Rico and wherever prohibited or restricted by law.

2. HOW TO ENTER. From November 8, 2004 - November 28, 2004 ("Promotional Period"), click the Sweepstakes promotional banner at , or if you receive an e-mail from Sponsor click on the button or link to the Sweepstakes on the e-mail communication during the Promotional Period. You will be sent to a promotional splash page where you will click on the Make CNN.com Your Home Page button that will make CNN.com your home page. You will be prompted and asked if you want to make CNN.com Your Home page and you will click YES and then be automatically sent to the Entry page where you will fill in the requested information. Entry ends November 28, 2004, 11:59 PM ET. Limit one (1) entry per person. Use of any automated entry software is prohibited. No mechanical reproductions or facsimiles accepted. Sponsor is not responsible for incomplete, misdirected, lost, late or illegible entries. Sponsor is also not responsible for technical, hardware or software failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections or failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed software transmissions which may limit an entrants ability to participate in the Sweepstakes or damage to user's system as a result of participation in the Sweepstakes or downloading any information necessary to participate in the Sweepstakes. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion, to cancel or modify the Sweepstakes should any computer virus, malfunction or other cause beyond their control corrupt the administration, security or proper operation of the Sweepstakes. All entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. False or deceptive entries or acts, as determined by Sponsor, will render the entrant ineligible.

3. HOW TO WIN. One (1) grand prize winner ("Grand Prize Winner") and one (1) first prize winner ("First Prize Winner") will be randomly chosen from all eligible entries received by an independent fulfillment agency on or about November 30, 2004. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. The decisions of the independent fulfillment agency will be final and binding. Winners will be notified by phone; e-mail and/or mail at such address listed in his or her entry within fourteen (14) days of determination of the winners and must meet all eligibility requirements including the execution and delivery of all necessary releases. If a dispute arises regarding who submitted an on-line entry, the entry will be deemed submitted by the holder of the e-mail account as determined by Sponsor.

4. PRIZES.The Grand Prize Winner will receive a cash amount of Three Thousand U.S. Dollars (US$3,000) (the "Grand Prize"). The First Prize Winner will receive a SHARP flat pane 17-inch computer monitor and television combo, at an approximate market value ("AMV") of Five Hundred Dollars (U.S.$500.00). Total AMV of Sweepstakes is Three Thousand Five Hundred U.S. Dollars (US$3,500.00).

The reporting and payment of any tax liabilities incurred by the winners as a result of this Sweepstakes are the sole responsibility of the winners. Sponsor reserves the right to collect withholding taxes from a winner if withholding taxes are required to be paid by Sponsor under law. No alteration, substitution, or transfer of prizes or cash redemption permitted by winners. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute any prize(s) for cash of like value in the event the described prizes, or any portions thereof, are unavailable for any reason whatsoever.

5. CANADIAN WINNERS. If the Grand Prize Winner or First Prize Winner is a Canadian resident ("Canadian Resident Winner"), in order to win and receive a prize, her or she must first correctly answer, unaided and without mechanical or electronic assistance, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question administered by mail or by telephone. Failure of a Canadian Resident Winner to correctly answer the skill-testing question in the time allotted will result in disqualification, the forfeiture of his or her interest in the prize, and the random selection of a substitute winner from among all remaining eligible entries. Sponsor will attempt to contact the Canadian Resident Winner three times by telephone during regular business hours at the number provided on the entry forms. If Sponsor is unable to reach the Canadian Prize Winner personally by telephone (Sponsor will call only three times during regular business hours (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST) and no messages will be left), that Canadian Prize Winner will be disqualified and a substitute winner may be randomly selected from the remaining eligible entries.

6. GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS: By entering the Sweepstakes, entrants grant Sweepstakes Entities, unless prohibited by law, to use their names, voices, pictures and likenesses, without compensation, for the purpose of advertising and publicizing the goods and services of the Sponsor and all matters related to the Sweepstakes in any manner or medium, throughout the world in perpetuity. Potential winners may be required to sign affidavits of eligibility, tax acknowledgement forms, liability releases and, except where prohibited by law, use of name and likeness releases ("Winner Documents") and return within ten (10) days of issuance. Noncompliance within this time period may result in disqualification. Return of the prize or prize notification as undeliverable, failure of Sponsor to contact winner based on contact information provided at registration, or failure of potential winner to respond to notification attempts will result in disqualification and an alternate may be selected at the Sponsor's discretion. In the event a winner declines his or her prize or fails to return completed releases, Sponsor may elect, at its own discretion, to select an alternate winner. By entering, entrants agree to release the Sweepstakes Entities from any and all liability claims or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages or losses to persons and property which may be sustained in connection with the receipt, ownership or use of the prize, or while preparing for, participating in, and/or traveling to any prize-related activity. The Sweepstakes Entities expressly disclaim any responsibility or liability for injury or loss to any person or property relating to the delivery and/or subsequent use of the prize awarded. In the event more winner notifications are issued, or more winning prize claims are received, than the number of prizes set forth in these Official Rules due to computer, printing, seeding, human, or other error or problem, a random drawing will take place from all eligible prize claims for the prize(s) at issue to award the proper number of prizes as set forth in these Official Rules. All potential winners will receive their prizes within 4 to 6 weeks of notification.

If technical difficulties of any kind compromise the integrity or ability to continue on-line entry, Sponsor reserves the right to modify or terminate on-line entry. In the event of sabotage, acts of God, computer virus or other events or causes beyond the Sponsor's reasonable control which corrupt the integrity, administration, security or proper operation of the Sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or suspend the Sweepstakes. In the event of cancellation, prizes will be awarded from among all eligible, non-suspect entries received prior to the event requiring such cancellation. Notice of cancellation will be posted at

7. CONSTRUCTION. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of any contestant and Sponsor, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Georgia, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules or provisions (whether of Georgia, or any other jurisdiction) that would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than Georgia. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. If any such provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable, these rules shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or unenforceable provision was not contained therein.
