Courtney Ball's Women's Soccer Recruiting Profile
Andrew Mccoy Personal Statement
I started playing soccer when I was 3. When I first tried it, I didn’t love it. There are photos of me screaming and crying as my family, coaches and even family friends tried to get me on the field. But now, I can say otherwise. I love every aspect of soccer.
The joy it brings to me is unmatched to any other joy I’ve ever experienced. I love how soccer has brought together a group of girls with a bunch of different interests and backgrounds, who all share this common passion for the sport.
The soccer field is where I want to be. I am a team player both on and off the field.
I was asked to help my high school coach coach 7 year olds in an after school program. I agreed because it was another chance for me to be around soccer. And to help kids develop the love I feel for the game.
Having played outside back for the majority of my soccer career, my coach saw traits in me that he thought would be better for the center back position.
Every time we had a corner, my coach sends me forward due to my ability to get a head on the ball, which most people shy away from. A throw in to some is to just get the ball back in play, my throw in is intended to switch the field or gain distance, as seen in my video.
