Curacao goalkeeper Jairzinho Pieter was found dead in the team's hotel on Monday.

The tragedy occurred after the 31-year-old suffered a cardiac arrest and was found motionless in his room by his teammates.

Curacao were set to face Haiti in a CONCACAF Nations League match on Wednesday.

Pieter played a key part in Curacao's King's Cup triumph in June where they defeated Vietnam in the final on penalties.
