Daniel Cevette's Baseball Recruiting Profile
Sarah Rodriguez Personal Statement
My name is Daniel Cevette. I'm currently a student at Corning Community College and will remain there until after the Spring 2014 semester, when I'm looking to transfer. I am 5'11 tall and weigh 160 lbs. I've always focused and excelled in speed and agility. My highest accomplishments include: 15-16 years of baseball experience, second place in state sectionals my junior year of high school, leading my team in stolen bases since 8th grade, and receiving several
sportsmanship awards throughout my athletic career. I know I can offer a lot to your school, athletics aside. I'm the type of person to never stop working hard because there is always something I can better myself at. I'll be the first one on the field and the last to leave, day in and day out. In addition, I've been team captain on almost every team I have played for in any sport. I take pride in my leadership skills, on and off the field. Baseball has been my one true passion throughout my life and that will never change. Like any young baseball player I always had dreams of playing in the Major Leagues, but beyond that, I've longed to play college baseball and have that drive and pride to win for my peers, my school, and my fans, all in a college atmosphere. I have lived in New York my whole life so it isn't always easy to play baseball all year round. Although I always worked out and went to indoor facilities and batting cages, I've always wanted to live somewhere I can play baseball outside all year long. Either way, baseball is still baseball, inside and out. I am open to any type of school that will help me become a better student, athlete, and an all-around better person, whether it’s a million miles away or close to home. I have thought of many career fields to pursue after high school, but a few majors have stood out to me. Majors I'm highly interested in are Sports Journalism, Sports Medicine, and Physical Training. My goals as a collegiate student-athlete are to contribute and make an impact on my team so that we can win and achieve our team goals; personal gains always come second to that of the overall team's. In my college athletic experiences I would like to not only become the best athlete that I know I can be, but also to become the best person I can be. You will not regret choosing me for your school.
