Ken Block who co-founded the skater shoe brand has passed away in a snowmobile accident according to his team at Hooningan. Block was 55 years old and was also a rally car champion and some say he could've been compared to the best in the world.

Block went to Utah and posted some pictures and videos of him in the snow while a snow plow was taking care of the terrain so he could ride.

His official website states that "Ken was a visionary, a pioneer, and an icon. And most importantly, a father and husband."

"He will be incredibly missed."

Ken Block was very famous for participating in rally tournaments around the world and he was an avid competitor and champion, he started racing in the mid-2000s and was on the podium more than ten times.

Block, along with Damon Way, left its mark on the skate fashion brand by founding DC Shoes in 1994.

Alongside his deep love for rally car driving, he also was a passionate Motorcross competitor, and snowmobile racer as well.

The police report states that "On January 2, 2023, at approximately 1400 hours, the Wasatch County 911 Center received a call reporting a snowmobile accident in the Mill Hollow area."

The snowmobile landed on top of him per the report "The driver, Kenneth Block, a 55-year-old man from Park City, Utah, was riding a snowmobile on a steep slope when the motorcycle overturned, landing on top of him."

"He was pronounced dead at the scene from injuries sustained in the accident. Mr. Block was riding with a group but was alone when the accident occurred."

"The State Medical Examiner's Office will determine the official cause of death. We are saddened to learn of Kenneth's loss and our hearts go out to his family and friends so deeply affected."

Ken is survived by his wife Lucy and 3 children.
