People are intrigued to know about the astronaut’s religion after NASA announced the names of the astronauts who will be going on the well-anticipated Artemis II mission. 

Reid Wiseman is one of the four lucky individuals who will be going on a venture to the moon no later than 2024. 

These lucky people will also be the first ones to try out NASA’s Orion space capsule. The capsule will take off with its four passengers from Florida’s Kennedy Space Center on a Space Launch System rocket.

The life-changing trip to the moon will be approximately ten days long. All in their 40s, the team is the first moon crew in 50 years to have a woman and African American as part of their lunar mission. 

This will be Commander Reid Wiseman’s second trip into space. Previously, he served as a flight engineer on the International Space Station in 2014. 

Wiseman has already spent 165 days in space. He served as the Chief of the Astronaut Office before retiring from that position in November 2022. 

The Commander’s previous experience and skills have landed him the position of leading and overseeing the Artemins II mission.

The exact details surrounding Artemis 2 Reid Wiseman’s religion are yet to be discovered. According to some sources, the NASA astronaut is a follower of the Jewish faith.

The Baltimore resident was born on November 11, 1975. He is currently 47 years old. Wiseman received his primary and secondary education at Timonium’s Dulaney High School in Baltimore, Maryland. 

Unfortunately, Commander Wiseman’s mother is not here to see her son fulfill his lifelong dreams, as she passed away long before he became an astronaut. 

The demise of his beloved mother did not stop him from achieving his life goals.

He received an engineering bachelor’s degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Later, in 2006, he earned a master’s degree in systems engineering from the famous John Hopkins University.

Reid is the proud father of two adorable daughters.

In 2020, at the age of 46, terminal cancer was diagnosed and took the life of his beloved wife, disrupting his previously good family life.”
