Allison Holker, a former contestant on So You Think You Can Dance, is grieving the death of her husband, Stephen tWitch Boss, who apparently committed suicide on Tuesday at the age of 40. 

In a statement to People on Wednesday, Holker, 34, wrote, ‘I have to tell my husband Stephen has left us. It is with the heaviest of hearts. Stephen brought light into every space he entered. Above all else, he valued his family, friends, and community.

He believed that the best way to lead was to lead with love and light. He was our family’s rock, the best husband and father, and an example to his followers.’

During Season 7 of “SYTYCD” in 2010, the dancers connected, although Boss was unaware that his future wife was making advances toward him. 

They spent the entire night dancing together at the show’s wrap party, which solidified their love.

On December 10, 2013, the pair exchanged vows after three years of dating. They danced their first dance together to Adele’s “One and Only.”

Holker had previously given birth to a child with an ex-boyfriend in 2008, making her a mother of one by the time she met Boss.

The couple then had Maddox, a baby boy, as their first child in March 2016. 

Holker and Boss welcomed a baby daughter called Zaia almost four years later. 

Three weeks into their relationship, Holker admitted to tWitch that he was The One in a February 2022 interview with People. 

On December 10, 2022, the couple observed their ninth wedding anniversary with heartfelt social media posts.

‘Our ninth anniversary is today! I am so thankful to be able to celebrate this wonderful day!!! In an Instagram tribute,’ Holker gushed. 

The late DJ also acknowledged the occasion by paying tribute to his wife on Instagram with the message, ‘Happy anniversary my darling @allisonholker#9years.’

Allison Holker, the wife of Stephen “tWitch” Boss, revealed his death on Wednesday, December 14. 

The “SYTYCD” alum was reported to have committed suicide in Los Angeles, and Holker released a devastating statement.

‘There won’t be a day that goes by that we don’t remember him; I’m positive of that. We ask for privacy in this trying time for myself and especially for our three kids.

Stephen, we love you, we miss you, and I will always save the last dance for you,’ Holker said as she gave her final remarks.
