Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers Impersonators Nailed it On the Stage
James Holden A thirteen-year-old girl and a duo of artist made the audience love Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers more when they came out on stage with the voice and face of our favorite country legends. “Your Face Sounds Familiar”, Philippines edition staged their spectacular performances.
Your Face Sounds Familiar is an interactive reality television franchise series. The popular show first aired in Spain under the title Tu Cara me Suena in 2011. This show features celebrity contestants who try to impersonate singers. Other countries that televised the show include Argentina, Brazil, China, Colombia, Italy, and Poland.
A thirteen-year-old girl becomes Dolly Parton
Her name is Elha Mae Nympha, a young talented singer from the Philippines. The lovely girl’s angelic voice gained the title of The Voice Kids Philippine Edition in 2015. As expected, her performance of Dolly Parton’s “I Will Always Love You” brought her on top against other contestants.
This talented girl can excellently sing the same song with Whitney Houston’s version as well.
The judges of the show, who are professional veteran artists, were awed by the performance and confess that the girl really has an incredible talent.

Dolly Parton and Kenny Roger’s Island in the Stream
Both of the performers are artists from the Philippines. Jay-r, who was dubbed as “R&B Prince” of his country, definitely went out of his genre when he imitated Kenny Rogers. Jay-r’s partner was Carla Estrada, a pop artist from the same country. She disclosed that he loves Dolly Parton by heart. Both artists voiced that they went thru serious research and rehearsals because they want to give the best performance as Dolly and Kenny.
Indeed, Parton and Rogers marked a legacy in the music industry that continues to influence singers and artists from all around the world.
