Dr. Alduan Tartt is one of those teachers! Dr Tartt is a practicing clinical psychologist, professional speaker, consultant, author and family man devoted to teaching solutions for mental health, education and self-development.
Dr. Tartt is a graduate of Morehouse College and is the youngest African-American to receive his PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Michigan. He is a recipient of the NAACP award for a lifetime of work in empowering clients and the communities they live in. “True intervention lies in empowering the individual and family and/or work system in which they live,” Dr. Tartt states. Thus, Dr. Tartt treats clients personally and consults with schools, churches and corporations to create measurable change.
Dr. Tartt uses professional speaking and his work in the media as a classroom to empower millions. Dr. Tartt speaks to provide solutions for saving marriages, engaging parents who traditionally are resistant to change, improving student achievement and classroom behavior, pregnancy prevention, female empowerment, stress management and suicide prevention. He also empowers individuals overcome fear by embracing their personal destiny. Dr. Tartt currently serves as frequent psychology expert for CNN, HLN, and previously co-hosted his own show, Love Addiction, on TV One which healed toxic relationships. He has appeared as a psychology expert on ABC Nightline, MTV’s Made, TV Ones’ Black Men Revealed, BET’s 106 & Park, & Gospel Touch and currently educates millions monthly by serving as a psychology expert on the Rickey Smiley, Tom Joyner and Café Mocha syndicated radio shows. He has also written articles for Black Enterprise, Essence, Upscale Magazine & Sister 2 Sister magazines.
Dr. Tartt is author of The Ring Formula: How To Be The Only One He Ever Needs and is a contributing author for Saving Our Daughters (Volumes 1 &3) which focuses on female empowerment, bullying and pregnancy prevention. He has served on the Board of Directors for the 100 Black Men of DeKalb, Forever Family & The Gifted Education Foundation. Dr. Tartt presently serves as a consultant for the NBA on player development, relationship and family management issues. He is also a guest psychologist on Intelligence For Your Life, a new syndicated positive news show airing in 130 markets beginning in September 2014.
