On February 4, a Reddit user, revanchisto, posted supposed screenshots and a short gameplay video of the upcoming Dragon Age sequel, Dreadwolf. 

Although the original post has since been taken down, the images and video can still be seen on Twitter by user @mintsoir.

The leaked footage appears legitimate and aligns with details shared by Insider Gaming in a recent report.

The footage and screenshots are said to have originated from an alpha build of Dragon Age Dreadwolf, posted by a Reddit user who claims to be an official gameplay tester. 

The leaker provided a description of the gameplay, which was 20 minutes long and took place within the Gray Warden fortress of Weisshaupt.

According to the leaker, the player character is an Elvish Knight class, equipped with a sword and shield and accompanied by two party members. 

The objective is to battle through the dark spawn and reach the library, but with a dragon also attacking from above. 

The footage was described as similar to a hack-and-slash game, such as God of War (2018), with a more streamlined combat system. 

Additionally, the animation quality has been drastically improved with smoother movement and realistic character hair.

Insider Gaming described Dreadwolf as still working towards shedding its live service roots but mentioned that it stays true to the classic Bioware campaign structure. 

The game is said to emphasize the building of a loyal following at a central hub, where players will reside.
