Kim Ji Hoon, of the popular male duo Duke, committed suicide in his hotel room on December 12th.

A close friend of the family contacted a popular online news website with the sad news. Kim Ji Hoon was discovered in his hotel, unconscious and alone. He was rushed to a hospital, but it was too late.

As to the reason for his suicide, the friend relayed information that Kim Ji Hoon was struggling to pay back a big debt. His committed suicide in a hotel located in Seoul.

Kim Ji Hoon debuted with the group TwoTwo in 1994 with hits such as "1 and 1/2" and "Cheating Girl". In 2000, he formed the male duo Duke with Kim Suk Min and continued to enjoy musical success. However, in 2009, he was charged with illegal possession and usage of illegal drugs and was prosecuted.

Kim Ji Hoon had a child with his ex-wife in 2007 and married her in 2008. They divorced in 2011 citing irreconcilable differences. However, it was later found out that his wife desired to be a Korean Shaman, believing that she was possessed by a ghost.

Kim Ji Hoon's wife tweeted an ominous tweet recently, which many believed to foreshadow a suicide attempt. It read, "Thank you every one... I want to leave now... It was so hard to live here. I guess I was a bad child. I want to see my child but I don't have the strength anymore. Kim Ji Hoon, my child's father, please take care of our kid. Cremate my bones and let me fly free..."

Kim Ji Hoon's corpse is currently staying at a hospital in Gangnam. His family is currently rushing to the hospital. The police said that they will investigate, but all signs point to it being a suicide.

His fans responded to the death with comments such as "Duke Kim Ji Hoon, I hope you find peace in death" and "It's terribly sad to lose another star in this way".
