Personal Statement

My name is Duran Workman. I would like to start out by saying, since I was a child, my goal and dream has been to play college and professional football. A major portion of my life has been dedicated to pursuing this dream. The first characteristic, that I believe is the most important, is my work ethic. I will put in the time and dedication to be successful in your program. I live in the weight room, I workout 4 times a week at the school, 4 times a week at my house, and run 4 days a week. There are many people in my life that will testify that I work harder than any athlete they've ever coached. I also believe I have what it takes mentally and physically to play at the next level. At 6'0" and 200 lbs I have a 4.19 cumulative gpa, I run a 4.49 40 yard dash, a 4.13 (laser timed) 20 yard shuttle, and I benched 185 lbs. 30 repetitions. The most important assets I brought to my team this year were; leadership, versatility, and physical play. This season I played; quarterback, running back, fullback, wide reciever, kick returner, safety(strong and free), and all special teams. I did this along with being the vocal leader of the team.
