Eagles Sign Myles Jack, Zach Cunningham to 1-Year Contracts in 2023 NFL Free Agency | News, Scores, Highlights, Stats, and Rumors
Daniel Foster The Philadelphia Eagles added some linebacker depth to their roster Sunday.
Philadelphia announced it agreed to one-year deals with linebackers Myles Jack and Zach Cunningham. Jack is a veteran who has been in the NFL since 2016, while Cunningham has been in the league since 2017.

While Jack appeared in 15 games for the Pittsburgh Steelers last season, he is best known for his time on the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Jacksonville selected him out of UCLA with a second-round pick in the 2016 NFL draft, and he helped anchor the team's defense for the first six years of his career. He posted better than 100 tackles in three of those campaigns and was a key part of the team that reached the AFC Championship Game in the 2017 season.
In fact, he had a fumble recovery in that AFC Championship Game against the New England Patriots that might have been returned for a touchdown and altered the outcome if the officials didn't blow the play dead.
Jack was still solid last year for the Steelers with 104 tackles and three passes defended.
As for Cunningham, the Houston Texans selected him out of Vanderbilt with a second-round pick in 2017. He played with the Texans until they released him during the 2021 season, and he then joined the Tennessee Titans and played there for the rest of 2021 and in 2022.
The Vanderbilt product finished with more than 100 tackles in three straight years from 2018 through 2020, including when he led the league with 164 in 2020. Yet he played just six games last year and will look to bounce back for the Eagles.
Both Jack and Cunningham will be under the spotlight this season, as will the rest of the Eagles.
Philadelphia is in Lombardi Trophy or bust mode after reaching the Super Bowl and losing to the Kansas City Chiefs last season. Perhaps its new pair of linebackers can help it make another deep playoff run.
