Stevens Reportedly Driving US Women's National Team Van When Arrested

TMZ reported new details regarding Stevens' arrest:

Hope Solo's husband Jerramy Stevens was driving a U.S. Soccer team van at the time of his DUI arrest Monday morning ... and we're told it was the main reason Hope was suspended from the team.

The U.S. National soccer team later suspended Hope for 30 days -- and we're told soccer officials were especially upset that Hope allowed her husband to drive the team van ... potentially leaving the team liable had there been an accident.

Stevens Arrested for DUI

Former NFL tight end Jerramy Stevens was reportedly arrested this week for driving under the influence. 

According to TMZSports.com, Stevens' arrest occurred in Los Angeles in the early morning hours on Monday. Stevens' wife, United States women's national team goalkeeper Hope Solo, was in the car at the time, per the report:

Former NFL tight end Jerramy Stevens -- who's married to USA soccer star Hope Solo -- was arrested for DUI in Los Angeles this week ... TMZ Sports has learned. 

According to officials, the 35-year-old was popped for driving under the influence around 1:49 AM on Monday morning. 

Bail was set at $5,000.

Stevens, who played his college football at Washington, was a first-round pick by the Seattle Seahawks in 2002. After five seasons with the Seahawks, he played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 2007 to 2010. 

His NFL career ended in 2010 after playing in just five games with the Bucs. He's had various incidents with the law dating back to his college days at Washington, including a marijuana possession charge that led to his release from Tampa Bay. 

During his NFL tenure, Stevens appeared in a Super Bowl with the Seahawks in 2006. He finished with 202 career receptions for 2,217 yards and 22 touchdowns.
