Three people were found dead in an Airbnb in Mexico City. Their names are Kandace Florence, Jordan Marshall, and Courtez Hall.

Attorney General’s Office of Mexico City investigated the fatalities discovered on October 30th; the three were residing at a rental in a residential place in the La Rosita district.

Relatives named the victims New Orleans-based schoolteacher Courtez Hall, Virginia natives Kandace Florence and Jordan Marshall, and New Orleans native Courtez Hall.

Florence’s parents said “Good Morning America” that their daughter called her boyfriend to say she wasn’t feeling well as she and her two pals were in town for Day of the Dead celebrations.

Her mother, Freida Florence, reported, “She remarked, ‘I was sick and dizzy, and my legs are weak.

Security officers at the building reported smelling a strong gas odor inside the unit, leading investigators to initially suspect gas inhalation poisoning, according to a statement released this week by the attorney general’s office. 

The office announced that carbon monoxide poisoning was to blame for the deaths of three Americans (two men and a woman).

How Authorities Confirm that:

A representative for the attorney general’s office said that investigators found a malfunction in the apartment’s gas boiler, which produced a gas smell and carbon monoxide, a colorless and odorless gas.

A representative from Airbnb has verified that the three Americans were guests at one of their listings.

An Airbnb representative said that his hearts go out to the victims’ loved ones as they cope with the catastrophe that has befallen them.”

While the authorities examine the incident, our principal focus is to help individuals who have been affected. We are willing to help in any manner we can.

The American embassy in Mexico has stated that it is “closely monitoring” the inquiry into the deaths of three American citizens.

We are prepared to offer any consular support that it may require,” it said earlier this week. We cannot comment further at this time without consideration for the family’s privacy.

According to a news outlet in the United States, which is based in Virginia Beach, Virginia, where Florence and Marshall are from, three friends named Kandace Florence, Jordan Marshall, and Courtez Hall were in the capital city of Mexico to celebrate the holiday known as Day of the Dead.
