Pinault also focused on sustainability and launched a women’s rights organization, which led to a drop in sales but an increase in profits. Kering sold off non-luxury companies like Puma and Volcom and appointed unexpected creative directors for Gucci and Balenciaga, which resulted in a significant increase in sales.
