Frank Kaminsky Selected by Charlotte Hornets No. 9 Overall in 2015 NBA Draft | News, Scores, Highlights, Stats, and Rumors
Daniel Foster The hours leading up to the NBA draft often feature plenty of chatter regarding the stock of certain prospects. One player who seemed to be benefiting from that phenomenon was Wisconsin big man Frank Kaminsky, who was selected No. 9 overall by the Charlotte Hornets.

Most considered Kaminsky to be a fringe lottery pick despite his status as the reigning National Player of the Year in college, but the 7-footer could be among the draft's biggest surprises.
Before the draft began, NBA.com's David Aldridge noted the Hornets were his floor, with the potential to be selected as high as No. 4, as ESPN's Chad Ford speculated:

Kaminsky is a player who would likely have been a strong fit in Phil Jackson's triangle offense because of his size, intelligence and versatility, but the Knicks opted for Kristaps Porzingis instead.
Most of the top prospects in this year's draft are either internationals or coming off their freshman seasons. Kaminsky is different in that he spent four years with the Badgers and slowly came into his own with each passing season.
He reached his high-water mark in 2014-15 by averaging 18.8 points and 8.2 rebounds per game and leading Wisconsin to the national championship game.
Kaminsky is a true stretch big because of his ability to step out and knock down shots, and his rare skill set is something that promises to appeal to many organizations on draft night.
