What does it mean to be genuine? Is it a measure of our honesty? Or how loyal we are to other people?

For me, genuine means authentic. It means someone who doesn’t feel like they need to impress other people by not being themselves. And it’s hard to find people who are like that today.

Having genuine people in your life is very important. Every day we put our trust into the hands of our family members and friends, believing that no one is going to hurt us.

I remember in middle school I hung out with this group of girls who I thought were the most loyal friends ever. Meanwhile, they had actually been harassing me online, pretending to be someone I thought was a total stranger. Their reason for doing this? I’m still not really sure to this day.

But it led me to learning a really valuable life lesson: if we’re not careful about what kind of people we let into our lives, we can end up getting hurt pretty easily.

So, how do you know when someone is genuine and authentic? It can be hard to tell, right? Instead of checking your daily horoscope, we can look to astrology to tell us a lot about who’s sincere and who isn’t.

Here are the genuine zodiac signs, ranked from most to least.

1. CANCER (June 21 - July 22)

As a Cancer, you're quick to help others and tend to the needs of your family members. You thrive on having deep emotional connections with other people, and have a genuine interest in others' feelings. You strive to live your life as ethically as possible.
