Harvard Medical School Morgue Body Parts Reddit has sparked some serious discussions on the internet. 

According to federal prosecutors, Cedric Lodge, a former morgue manager at Harvard Medical School, has been charged with stealing, selling, and shipping human body parts from the school’s morgue in Boston. 

Lodge is accused of stealing dissected cadavers from the school without the permission or knowledge of the school and transporting them to his residence in New Hampshire. 

He allegedly conspired with his wife Denise, including Katrina Maclean, owner of Kat’s Creepy Creations, and Joshua Taylor to sell the stolen body parts. 

All four have been charged with conspiracy and interstate transport of stolen goods.

Harvard calls the crime “an abhorrent betrayal” and pledges to work with federal authorities to identify the victims and contact their families. 

The medical school is also appointing an external panel to evaluate its anatomical donor program.

Reddit users have come forward, claiming that they purchased human tissue from a seller on Reddit who went by the name of “tissuesan.” 

The seller allegedly posted pictures of human tissue in a variety of shapes and sizes and claimed to have a “great selection of tissues.” 

One Reddit user claimed to have purchased a vial of human brain tissue for $500 from the seller. Whether this seller is connected to the Harvard Medical School Morgue case is unclear.

Theft and misuse of human body parts underscore the importance of proper donor consent and respect for the dignity of the deceased. 

The American Association of Tissue Banks has established strict ethical standards for acquiring, processing and distributing human tissues.

According to Gerard M. Karam, the US attorney for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, the act of stealing and trafficking human remains “strikes at the very essence of what makes us human.” 

He further emphasized the severity of the situation by highlighting the fact that many of the victims had willingly donated their remains to advance medical education and the interests of science and healing. 

Alongside the indictment of Cedric Lodge, three additional individuals have also been charged in connection with this disturbing case, as stated by federal prosecutors.
