The hotel restaurant, La Table at La Villa, has a Michelin star, and is a gastronomic destination serving gourmet Corsican and French-influenced dishes with the finest local ingredients. In good weather, guests eat al fresco, overlooking the infinity pool. The food itself was very good, but was let down by the service. When I asked for a gluten-free menu, I was initially told I could only order a green salad. After some negotiation, I ended up with a delicious joint of roast veal.

Guests can also dine at U Ricantu, a Mediterranean restaurant, on the hotel’s sandy beach.There are two bars - Jo’s and The Pool Bar. Jo’s is a raised spot next to La Table, perfect for sundowners. The Pool Bar’s shaded terrace offers a typical lunch menu of tasty salads, burgers and fish. Breakfast is a self-service continental buffet, with pastries, cakes, cheeses, meat and fruit. Hot options are available at an extra cost.
