Google Now has supported reminders on Android and on the web for some time, but with the advent of Android Wear, making sure you don't forget important stuff is easier than ever. And there are a few different ways to go about setting a notification on Android Wear — including on the LG G Watch, Moto 360 and the Samsung Gear Live — which we'll dig into after the break.

1. The really easy way

First, tap your watch's screen to turn it on. Then from the main watch face, say "OK Google" to activate voice controls. Then give it the details of your reminder, which you can do in a number of different ways. For example:

• "Remind me to call Phil at 6.45 tomorrow"
• "Set a reminder for 6.45 tomorrow, call Phil"
• "At 6.45 tomorrow, remind me to call Phil"

If you set a time but no date, Google will set the reminder for the current day. Give a date but no time, and it'll default to 9 a.m. You can also be less specific with your times if you want, for example, using "tomorrow morning," "this afternoon" or "this evening." Or you can set reminders for a certain period of time in the future, like "in 15 minutes" or "in three hours."

You can also set your reminder in two parts — for example, say "set a reminder for 6.45 tomorrow," and Google will then ask what for. Or say "remind me to call Phil," and it'll ask you for a time. Between all these various voice input features, Android Wear does a pretty good job of interpreting all the various ways you can ask to set a reminder.

Reminders will be automatically set after a couple of seconds, or you can manually tap the "Save" button to instantly confirm them. And if it gets something wrong or you change your mind, you can tap the "Cancel" button.

2. The slightly less easy way

You'll still need to set the details of your reminders by talking to your watch, but to skip the "OK Google, set a reminder" portion, tap on your main watch face, then scroll down to "Remind me."

Remind me what happens when it's time for a reminder?

When your reminder arrives, it'll appear (with a buzz) on your Android Wear watch, as well as any other devices running Google Now that are signed into your Google account.
