Is Sam Smith Singing 'Stay With Me' To Boyfriend Jonathan Zeizel After Alleged Split [VIDEO]? 'Good Thing' Singer Responds To Howard Stern Calling Him 'Fat' And 'Ugly'
Sarah Rodriguez 2015 may not be starting on the best note for Sam Smith, even if the "Stay With Me" singer is crooning to his vocal talent as well as ever.
On Jan. 20, the young singer posted a sad message on his Instagram and also gave a speech alluding to the alleged split with boyfriend Jonathan Zeizel during his concert in Toronto.
"The day before I wrote this song, I basically went on my phone and I deleted their number and I deleted everything," said Smith regarding a new song called "Good Thing."
Reportedly, Sam Smith also confirmed that he's now single but hope to be able to "find someone soon."
On Instagram after his concert, Smith wrote, "Sometimes you just need to lay in bed with a glass of red wine and a football T-shirt and listen to Joni Mitchell."
"It's been a sad day. Beautiful show, but sad day."
In addition to dealing with an alleged split from boyfriend Jonathan Zeizel, Smith also recently received some interesting comments from Howard Stern.
"You know what I like about the guy? He's an ugly (expletive). He's fat...Is he gay? He looks gay to me, not that anybody looks gay, but he does seem effeminate...I like that he's chubby and gay," Stern said.
"That's why I love him. He's one of those guys I feel like, he's really good but I feel like ["Stay With Me"] will be his only hit song."
"That's how good that song is," he added. "He's fat and he's gay and little girls worship him. That's when you know you have a good song and a good voice. I'd like to get him in here to congratulate him on beating the odds. He's like the male Adele."
In addition to dealing with Jonathan Zeizel, Smith later allegedly commented on Stern's comments on Twitter.
"Can't believe what I've just read," tweeted Smith. "Ignore."
