However, he seems set on overturning all stereotypes of pension-age holidaymakers.

Rather than lying on a sun-lounger complaining about the heat, these photos show him out on the beach flirting with women young enough to be his granddaughters.

With his trademark maniacal grin firmly in place, the one-time Joker was seen holding court with a bevy of young, bikini-clad beauties, as his youngest daughter Lorraine Nicholson, 17, sunbathed nearby.

The two are on holiday in St Bart's ahead of the star's seventy-first birthday next month.

One onlooker told The Daily Mail: "He looked really content and chilled-out.

"He seemed to be really enjoying the attention from his two young admirers."
