Janet Protasiewicz Family Background
Jessica Wood Janet Protasiewicz family includes her husband and stepchildren from former partner Patrick Madden.
Janet has been married to Wisconsin lawyer Greg Sell for over 15 years. The couple exchanged their wedding vows on January 13, 2008.
Protasiewicz and her partner currently reside in Franklin, Wisconsin. The pair mostly keeps a low-key married life and doesn't appear much in public.
Greg played a crucial role in Janet's appointment to the position of Milwaukee County Judge in 2014. He regularly appeared in her campaign and even swayed a few votes in her favor.
Previously, Janet married now-deceased Wisconsin judge Patrick Madden in 1997. At the time, Protasiewicz was 34 years old, whereas her partner was 70. The former couple was married for less than a year.
After her marriage to Patrick, Janet became stepmother to his three children: Michael Madden, Mark Madden, and Sheila Anne Casey. Among the three, Michael lived with the couple for the entirety of their marriage.
Janet's connection with the Madden family is turning out to be a hurdle for her 2023 campaign to become a judge of the Wisconsin Supreme Court. Her former stepchildren have laid down a series of allegations against her, ranging from her conservative alliance to domestic violence.
Michael first brought the accusations claiming he saw Janet slapping his father on more than one occasion. His allegations were supported by a family friend named Jonathan Ehr who also claimed to be a witness to the physical assault by Protasiewicz.
Meanwhile, Janet has denied the domestic violence claims; she will be taking the necessary legal measures after the end of the election.
Further, her former stepchildren have also accused the judge of lying about her political alliance. They mentioned that she was pro-life and anti-immigration during her marriage to Madden.
The Madden family members added that their father was a well-known conservative. And, he would not have married Janet if she was a liberal.
