She grew up in northern Arizona's mountainous areas, where she became interested in outdoor activities such as river rafting and hunting. She played basketball and volleyball while attending Sinagua High School in Flagstaff, where she received her diploma.

Katie Pavlich has been married to Gavy Friedson since 2017. Katie wed her Israeli boyfriend, Gavy, in a private ceremony on July 5.

The couple has been married for over five years and frequently appears together on Instagram.

He volunteers for United Hatzalah, a medical service organization based in Jerusalem.

In addition, he served as the global ambassador for Israel and the director of global emergency management. He was a media associate for Set Public Relations in Tel Aviv previously.

He belonged to the Israeli Defense Forces as well. He enlisted in the military in June 2007 as an infantryman and advanced through the ranks to hold the spokesperson position until July 2010.

Throughout his years as a first responder, he has arrived first as a medic at a number of terrorist attacks. He spent most of his life volunteering with Israel's rescue organizations before moving back to the United States in 2017 to aid in expanding United Rescue's international cooperation operations.

He is in charge of assisting with the identification of new locations and emergency programs.

He served in the IDF Spokesperson's Unit after serving in the prestigious Nahal Infantry Brigade.

He graduated from Tel Aviv University with an M.A. in Public Health with a concentration in Emergency and Disaster Management, and Reichman University awarded him a B.A. in Communications.
