It was confirmed that she was born in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and she had experience in coaching for stints at North Illinois, Lewis, and Western Illinois. 

In the 2016-17 season, she had a successful career in Northern Illinois. It was reported that she assisted the Huskies in making an overall score record of 21-12. 

They could advance to the title game thanks to their two victories in the Mid-American Conference Tournament.

In the 2015-16 season, Northern Illinois concluded with 11 victories and 19 losses. 

When she was at Northern Illinois University, she spent most of her time working with the team’s guard named, Ally Lehman.

Ally was selected for the Third Team of the MAC. 

Lehman made a presence in the team as he became the fifth player in the annals of NIU basketball which made an average double-double in just one season under the coaching of Keirra. 

Later, he became an assistant coach at Northern Illinois University after working two seasons as a recruiting coordinator at Western Illinois for the Leathernecks. 

McCleary has been a captain for North Alabama three times during the tournament in 2010-11.
