Although no one was expecting his untimely and sudden death, the whole Hip Hop community is mourning the loss of an incredibly talented artist, King Von. 

His music motivated millions of fans, and the lasting impression he left behind is evident in the outpouring of love from his friends, family, and everyone across the world that his artistry has touched.

Who is rapper King Von?

Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, King Von had six half-siblings. His life was marred with tragedy at an early age after his father was imprisoned and murdered when he was 11. 

Despite the hardship, King Von bravely rose to fame early in the rap industry. He had already been imprisoned at only 16 years of age, which began a relentless streak of legal issues. 

It is impressive that despite these obstacles, King Von burst onto the music scene with fellow artist Lil Durk whose collaborations put King Von’s name into ever increasingly brighter limelight until his passing in November of 2020. 

The song titled “Exposing Me” paid homage to his father’s memory and is considered a mainstay amongst fans.

King Von was an up-and-coming artist taken from us too soon, but his legacy lives on through the classics he left behind. From “Took her to the O” to “Crazy Story” and “How it Go,” one thing is certain: King Von was a force to be reckoned with. 

His flows were effortless, his delivery flawless—truly unique beats and melodies he used to create vibes that could not be compared. 

It’s unfortunate that none of us will experience any more musical genius from him. Still, in his passing, his remaining discography leaves us something invaluable, a glimpse into what would have been.

How King Von died?

The death of 26-year-old King Von is a tragedy. Unfortunately, violence was the cause of his passing. 

King Von and others were involved in a dispute that quickly escalated into gunfire at an Atlanta nightclub with Quando Rondo. 

Regretfully, after being shot multiple times, medical personnel was unable to save King Von, and he tragically died at the hospital. Along with him, three other victims also died, and four were seriously wounded. 

Timothy Leeks has been identified as the gunman responsible for the deadly altercation and its devastating aftermath. 

As the community mourns this loss, it is important to remember King Von’s life with respect and admiration. On November 14th, 2020, he was laid to rest in his hometown of Chicago.
