TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - South Korean actor Kim Joo Hyuk reportedly died in a car accident on Monday.

Kim Joo Hyuk’s car turned upside down and caught fire in Samseong, Seoul, South Korea, at 4:30 pm local time as reported by Soompi.

The 45-year-old actor was rushed to Konkuk University Hospital but he could not be saved.

Hyuk starred in drama series and films and was known for playing a wide range of characters.

He joined the variety show 1 Night 2 Days Season 3 in 2016, played adult Choi Taek in Reply 1988 in late 2015 and featured in Confidential Assignment and The Tooth and the Nail early this year.

The last drama Kim Joo Hyuk had starred in was Argon that ended in late September.
