Lilian Corrice's Softball Recruiting Profile
Jessica Wood Personal Statement
My name is Lilian Corrice and I have been playing softball for 10 years. Softball is my passion. Through it, I have learned skills valuable for both in and out of the game. On the field I learned to be a a good teammate, but also a leader. My role as a pitcher has allowed me to encourage my teammates while still being a positive role model others can look up to. Off the field, I want to study biology and chemistry with a specialty in neuroscience. Positive mental health is something that is very important to me, and by pursuing these majors, I feel like I can make a difference in the lives of others; that is powerful to me. Both on and off the field, I learned my core values of respect, responsibility, hard work, positive energy, and focus. These are things I live by on a daily basis. You may not always win the game, but hard work will always pay off. One of my favorite quotes is, “the most important pitch is the next pitch”, and that is something I have successfully applied in the classroom and I hope to apply to your softball program as well. Softball through the years has taught me to never give up in games or life, and to learn from every situation no matter the outcome.
