We start with an online assessment that helps us to pinpoint exactly what is going wrong in the relationship. Then we will meet and go over the assessment report and discuss the areas of concern and what your goals are for couples therapy.

When you start to see me, you will quickly feel at ease. I have a warm, understanding rapport with clients, and view each person to have an innate sense of worth. I offer a highly personalized service tailored to you. With compassion and empathy, I will work with you to help you build on your strengths and attain the personal growth you desire.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor providing individual, couples and family therapy, and maintain my private practice, McClain Counseling and Family Therapy, in Snellville, GA and Marietta, GA. I have over 12 years experience as a counselor and direct care mental health worker. My specialty is working with couples and families who are having trouble with communication, parenting issues, and with adolescents who are struggling with school, social relationships, a history of abuse, depression or anxiety. In addition, I also have great success working with clients undergoing challenging life events, such as school and career concerns, relationship problems, new parenthood, college, mid life crisis, illness, menopause, and the loss of a loved one.

On a more personal note, I am married with two adult children. I enjoy gardening, cooking, hiking, reading, and writing. I sing in a Blues/Rock band.  I also like to spend time with my family and my three cats.
