Ava Arnold Louis Theroux: Talking to Anorexia was first released in October 2017.
The investigative feature film saw Louis embed himself in two of London’s biggest adult eating-disorder treatment facilities: St Ann’s Hospital and Vincent Square Clinic.
One year later, the documentary is being replayed on BBC2, airing at 9:45 pm on Sunday, October 21st.
Here, we take a look at the inspirational stories from some of the documentaries characters – in particular, Rosie – to show just how far she has come.

Talking to Anorexia: Rosie
In the one-hour documentary, Louis caught up with Rosie, who had temporarily lost her sight and hearing after embarking on a crash starvation regime the previous October (2016).
Rosie told Louis:
The illness started in October of last year and it got to Christmas but I was still in denial about how much I was losing – my family were saying they could see how much I was losing and in February it went crashing down.
I lost all physical movement, I was crawling up the stairs I was having to get my dad to carry me up the stairs, I lost my eyesight and my hearing. If I didn’t come in that day I could have died of cardiac arrest.
Two years on, Rosie looks to have turned her life around for good.
She uploaded a picture onto her Instagram displaying her dramatic weight gain in July 2017.
The caption added:
Came in at a weight of 5 stone 4 and coming out a weight of 7 stone 4.
Since then, it appears that Rosie has continued her phenomenal turnaround and continued to build on her impressive physique.
Rosie is in phenomenal shape with a beaming smile matching her glowing health.
A key to Rosie’s weight gain has been her new-found love of the gym.
Her Instagram stories are full of workout routines.
