Luol Deng, Los Angeles Lakers Reportedly Agree to Contract | News, Scores, Highlights, Stats, and Rumors
James Holden Following a two-year stint with the Miami Heat, Luol Deng did not last long on the open market.
The Vertical's Shams Charania reported Saturday that "Deng has reached [an] agreement on a four-year, $72 million deal with the Los Angeles Lakers."
The 31-year-old remains a solid scorer, shooter and rebounder, having averaged 12.3 points and six rebounds per game on 45.5 percent shooting from the field last season. He also had his best season by Basketball-Reference.com win shares (6.4) since 2010-11.
According to Wojnarowski, the Lakers came to terms on a four-year, $64 million deal with center Timofey Mozgov already. Charania is reporting the team re-signed shooting guard Jordan Clarkson on a four-year, $50 million deal.
