On October 15, 1970, Matt Turner was born in Flint, Michigan.

Just a year before his passing, Turner—who on occasion went by the name Donald Montrell—was residing in Chicago after fleeing his house.

The runaway had goals of becoming a model, but when he met the serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer in 1991, his dreams were tragically dashed.

He passed away on June 30, 1991, at the age of barely 20.

What Happened To Matt Turner? How Did Dahmer Kill Him?

Dahmer was systematic in how he tracked down and murdered his victims. 

According to Biography, he frequently picked up the victims at gay clubs, shopping centers, and bus stations before luring them back to his house with promises of cash or s*x.

In 1991, Turner was waiting at a bus station when Dahmer arrived in Chicago to attend a homosexual pride parade.

Dahmer welcomed the young man into his apartment after luring him back to Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Once at his flat, Dahmer murdered the young man who had run away from home to a Chicago halfway house a year prior by drugging, strangling, and then dismembering him.

Turner’s body was drugged, choked, and tortured there. Then, Dahmer saved some of Turner’s body parts in his freezer.

His torso was placed in the freezer first, followed by his head and internal organs. 

 A 57-gallon barrel was Purchased by Dahmer on July 12 to preserve his body in the acid.

On July 22, 1991, Tracy Edwards broke out of his apartment and alerted Milwaukee Police officers to the terrible actions Dahmer had tried to subject him to earlier. 

This put an end to Dahmer’s string of killings. 

He was accused of 15 first-degree murder offenses. Dahmer was found guilty and given 15 consecutive life sentences after a two-week trial. 

He only completed two years of his sentence before being assassinated in 1994.
