Personal Statement

I am a 6' 4" Power Forward/Center from San Antonio, Texas. I have only been playing basketball since 8th Grade (2015), but my hard work and determination paid off when I made the Freshman Team as a starter (Theodore Roosevelt H.S., 26-6A).   I am on varsity now, and I continue to strive for excellence. My focus is always how I can best help my team and never on my individual statistics. I am dedicated to improving so that I can bring more to my team. I am dependable and responsible and I have been able to balance working at Dominoes 30 hours a week with school and basketball successfully.

Ideally, I want to play in Texas relatively close to home. I would like to attend a smaller university where I could use my strengths to make an impact, but finding the right fit is also very important. I have a financial need for college and I hope that all of these elements can come together so that I may not only play basketball in college, but get a good education.
