Jovit Baldvinio was an actor and singer who was born in Batangas to a poor family. To support his family, he would sell siomai at a market in his area after school.
This would also help him to pay for his studies. He decided that he had to complete his studies and pull his family out of poverty, so he auditioned for the first season of Pilipinas Got Talent.
At the end of the first season, Jovit won a $2 million prize, and this made him realize what his dream was. He attended Batangas State University and majored in Criminology.
Just like his uncle, he aspired to become a lawyer. In October 2020, Jovit’s best hit songs, “Pusong Bato” and “Ika’y Mahal Pa Rin,” were trending on the internet.
Later, his songs were mixed with K-pop sons by TWICE, Red Velvet, BTS, and Black print. He uploaded a remix version of Justin Bieber’s song “Baby.” He combined Bieber’s song with his song, “Ika’y Mahal Pa Rin.”
Baldvinio’s songs were getting several views as Filipino netizens were obsessed with his remix songs. Some remixes were reported to be funny to his fans due to the way they were combined.
At the 2011 GMMSF Box-Office Entertainment Awards, he was titled the Promising Singer/Performer.
Apart from starring in season one of Pilipinas Got Talent TV show, he was featured in other television shows, including 1DOL, Family Feud, We Love OPM, Juan dela Cruz, ASAP, and Growing Up.
On December 4, 2022, he had to undergo surgery due to a mild hemorrhagic stroke. On December 9, 2022, it was reported that he passed away due to a brain aneurysm.
He was declared dead at Jesus of Nazareth Hospital in Batangas City.
